'Nice shot, kid…'

"…that was one in a million."

The Rebel Alliance has finally won a tremendous victory. It's not time to cue the Ewoks, yet. But it sure feels good.

I'm very, very tired, though; working through the election, on deadline, trying to make sure every dot and comma was where it needed to be while giddy with exhilaration was exciting, satisfying and, ultimately, exhausting.

I have lots to say, and I will, probably at great length. The only thing I want to say right now is that I thought McCain's concession speech was a class act; I really wish he'd run his whole campaign that way.

For now, though, I'm going to make some tea. Then I'll see if the Stewart/Colbert election special is on hulu.com. If it is, I'm going to watch it. Then I am going to pass right out.

Can't even describe how excited and relieved I am for America right now. I can't even articulate all the many, many reasons why.

And I had the exact same thought about McCain's concession speech - if his campaign had been half as classy, half as gracious, he might not have had to give it. So I felt sorry for him, but not VERY, since it was his own fault.

I agree with both of you, actually. And although some folks have been trying to let me know what a mistake we've made, it doesn't bother me in the least. I feel better about generally everything at the moment, and after 8 years of white-knuckled fear, I think we deserve to breathe and smile a little!

Now we can look forward to 4 years of "white-knuckled fear" of having what we have personally worked hard for taken from us and given to those oh so proficient in "working" the system in lue of actually working. Take our taxes, guns, capitalism and control us with the democratic socialistic ways please!!!!

Anonymous: The word you're looking for is "lieu," not "lue."

Carry on.
